First monograph on Plautilla Bricci (1616-1705), the Roman architect, painter and sculptor whose work is linked to Elpidio Benedetti, the secretary of Cardinal Mazarin. With a catalogue of 33 works, including her plans for the Villa del Vascello in Rome and the Benedetti chapel in San Luigi dei Francesi. Also discussing the restoration of works such as the Madonna del Rosario from the chiesa dei Santi Domenico e Sisto and the Adorazione dei Pastori from the church of San Rocco, occasioned by the exhibition.
