Particular attention is paid to Baccio's wooden crucifixes and sculptural 'compianto' groups. Includes a catalogue raisonné of 46 known works. The appendix lists transcripts of contemporary documents (from 1493 to 1522) and contains records of archival material from 1469 to 1530.
