Drawing on previously unpublished archival material, numerous jewelry designs are presented alongside brooches, rings, tiaras, necklaces and earrings from private and public collections. Highlighting the Chinese, Coptic, African and Islamic elements adapted by the Maison on the rue de la Paix, the catalogue also considers Cartier's role in the 1925 Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes, which gave its name to the Art Deco style. Including an illustrated list of maker's marks and a bibliography.
