These intimate and immediate drawings are little known, with Kelly himself stating that 'I think all my work begins with drawing, including portraits, which I've never shown'. Includes three critical essays on Kelly and portraiture and an interview with Jack Shear, a close friend of Kelly's who sat for a number of portraits.
