Catalogue of over 200 artist self-portraits in the Ömer Koç collection, from the 19th to the 21st century, listed alphabetically. Volume 1 contains Malik Aksel to Augustus John, including Milton Avery, Francis Bacon, Pierre Bonnard, Louise Bourgeois, Lovis Corinth, Salvador Dali, Otto Dix, Lucian Freud, Gluck, George Grosz, David Hockney and Alexej von Jawlensky. Volume 2 continues with Josef Kalous to Richard Ziegler, through figures such as Kathe Kollowitz, Leon Kossoff, Marie Laurencin, L.S. Lowry, Dora Maar, Emil Nolde, William Orpen, Picabia, Christian Schad, Egon Schiele, Antoni Tapies and Warhol. Each entry is illustrated and discussed in detail, interspersed with images of the works as displayed in the Koç collection in London and Istanbul.
