The catalogue, by Byzantine metalwork expert Marco Aimone, is augmented by three essays from: Jack Ogden (enamelling), Peter Northover (metallurgy) and Erica Cruikshank Dodd (hallmarks). Rika Gyselen also contributes readings of Persian inscriptions.
