With increasing recognition of the importance of Chinese porcelain dating from the Republican Era (1912 - 1949) there has never been a better time to make sure your library is well stocked on the subject.
Interest in the subject is hardly surprising. The involvement of literati painters in the decoration of porcelain meant the period saw important developments in ceramics despite the political turmoil across the country which severely limited the quantity produced.
